Terms

Last updated June 19, 2026

These terms cover use of the Trail & Heel website, client portal, training resources, invoices, and services.

Using This Website

By using this website, submitting a form, booking services, or using the client portal, you agree to these terms.

Trail & Heel may update the website, portal, services, and these terms from time to time. The current version will be posted here.

Services

Trail & Heel provides private dog training, puppy training, confidence work, real-world practice, online coaching, board and train on a limited basis, and related support.

Service recommendations depend on your dog, your goals, location, safety considerations, availability, and whether the service is a good fit.

Trail & Heel may decline, pause, or refer out a case when safety, medical needs, bite risk, severe behavior concerns, or another issue calls for a different kind of support.

Training Progress

Training progress varies by dog, home environment, consistency, health, history, and follow-through between sessions.

Recommendations are practical guidance for real life. They are not veterinary, legal, or emergency advice.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for giving accurate information about their dog, including bite history, medical concerns, behavior concerns, vaccination status, and any safety issue that could affect handling.

Clients are responsible for following local leash laws, supervising their dog, using equipment safely, and contacting a veterinarian for medical concerns.

Vaccination records, a meet and greet, or other intake steps may be required before certain services.

Payments, Invoices, and Scheduling

Payment terms are provided through invoices, written estimates, or direct communication with Trail & Heel.

Invoices may be shown in the client portal and paid through Stripe. Late, missed, or unpaid invoices may delay future services.

Scheduling, rescheduling, cancellation, and refund details may vary by service and will be handled directly with Trail & Heel.

Client Portal and Resources

The client portal may include dog records, uploads, goals, reports, homework, resources, invoices, and question threads.

Private portal links are for the intended client only. Do not share a private portal link with anyone who should not have access to those records.

Training resources, homework, videos, reports, and written materials are for personal use with your own dog unless Trail & Heel gives written permission.

Photos, Videos, and Client Content

You are responsible for the photos, videos, files, and notes you upload or send.

Trail & Heel may use uploads to provide services, keep records, prepare reports, and communicate with you.

Trail & Heel will not use private client uploads in public marketing without permission.

Website Content

Website articles, videos, social posts, and resources are general information. They are not a substitute for individual training guidance, veterinary care, or professional evaluation of a safety concern.

All Trail & Heel website content, branding, images, copy, and resources belong to Trail & Heel or are used with permission unless noted otherwise.

Limitation of Liability

Dogs are living animals, and working with them involves risk. Trail & Heel is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information, ignored safety guidance, misuse of tools, unsupervised handling, or situations outside Trail & Heel's control.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Trail & Heel's liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service connected to the claim.
